The Beginning
There are seasons in life that arrive all at once—loss, responsibility, uncertainty—before we have time to prepare.
Dr. Lucette’s journey began in one of those seasons.
Newly divorced, raising her daughter without child support, self-employed with no sick days, and carrying the full weight of financial responsibility, she discovered a lump in her breast just days after her divorce was finalized. Two weeks later, she was diagnosed with breast cancer.
What followed was a 15-month treatment plan that included multiple surgeries, chemotherapy, and radiation—while continuing to work, parent, and keep her business afloat.
The Weight of It All
Cancer was not the only challenge unfolding.
During this time, Dr. Lucette also became a caregiver for her brother following a severe traumatic brain injury. She was navigating grief, medical uncertainty, emotional exhaustion, and the constant pressure of being the sole provider for her family.
Despite her resilience, the strain took its toll. She found herself overwhelmed, depleted, and facing the real possibility of financial collapse.
This was not a failure of strength or willpower.
It was a nervous system pushed beyond capacity.
The Turning Point
After years of living in survival mode, there was a moment of clarity.
Dr. Lucette realized that while she could not change everything she had endured, she could change how she was living inside it.
This wasn’t about positive thinking or forcing optimism.
It was about learning how her brain and nervous system were responding to prolonged stress—and discovering that those patterns could change.
She chose to begin working with her nervous system instead of against it.
Within a year, she was nearly out of debt.
Months later, she made a substantial down payment on her home.
All of this occurred during the pandemic—while grieving the loss of her mother, caring for her father with Alzheimer’s, managing her parents’ estate, and continuing to run her veterinary practice.
The Evolution
Through lived experience, neuroscience, and a deepening spiritual connection, Dr. Lucette discovered a different way of moving through life—one rooted in regulation, awareness, and choice rather than fear and survival.
She learned that clarity does not come from pushing harder.
It comes from feeling safe enough to change.
This understanding became the foundation of her work today: helping others reconnect with themselves, regulate their nervous systems, and create sustainable change—regardless of external circumstances.
